About the Role

This role focuses on understanding how individuals use AI in their daily tasks and driving its adoption across all back-office functions. The goal is to identify and embed AI solutions to increase efficiency, acting as a hands-on lead rather than a purely strategic one. This involves prototyping, building, and automating solutions, and managing a team to scale them.

Responsibilities

  • Champion network & governance by initiating monthly AI Productivity meetings and chairing a fortnightly Head Office Productivity Working Group.
  • Act as the main point of contact between central productivity capability and the business, implementing proven solutions across teams.
  • Partner with IT to manage the productivity tooling roadmap and prevent duplicate purchases.
  • Set the strategic direction for automation and agentic workflows, defining risk and quality boundaries.
  • Build prototypes, lightweight apps, and scripts, and automate solutions end-to-end.
  • Manage the AI Productivity Executive responsible for delivering automation and AI projects.
  • Work with HR's L&D team to build and maintain a clear upskilling plan.
  • Own the incentive and recognition mechanism for productivity gains and manage a central communication channel for AI productivity.
  • Track and report impact on adoption, time saved, and tools live to senior leadership.
  • Build a simple maturity framework for labels/teams to assess their AI adoption.
  • Represent Productivity AI in cross-functional forums, ensuring alignment with Data & Analytics teams.

Requirements

  • Strong grounding in data, including SQL and/or Python, data modeling, APIs, and structured/unstructured data.
  • Hands-on experience designing and building AI agents and agentic workflows, including connecting them to business data sources.
  • Confident use of AI-assisted coding tools for prototyping and shipping lightweight tools.
  • Practical experience automating business processes with tools such as Power Automate, Power Apps, or Logic Apps.
  • Ability to move easily between business problems and technical solutions.
  • Proven experience line-managing and developing a small team, including setting objectives and performance reviews.
  • Experience setting up a team from a standing start, including hiring and defining roles.
  • Track record of prioritizing and allocating work across a team.
  • Proven experience driving adoption of new tools or ways of working across a complex organization.
  • Ability to map and analyze workflows and decide on simplification, automation, or agent assignment.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and peers without direct authority.
  • Experience building and running a community of practice or champions network.
  • Experience setting baselines and tracking benefits, presenting an impact case to senior finance stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of AI risk, data protection, information security, and IP.
  • Experience running governance forums and a roadmap with competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to make AI practical for non-technical audiences and present confidently to executives.
