About the Role
The Local Fuel Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to customers, including loading, unloading, and providing exceptional customer service. Drivers uphold high safety standards in propane delivery and handling, and conduct regular vehicle inspections.
Responsibilities
- Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers for customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
- Leverage technology to monitor and track propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing.
- Accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers.
- Accurately complete and submit daily driver reports.
- Maintain equipment to the highest safety standards.
- Report any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher.
- Conduct and document pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
- Collaborate with the Dispatcher for routing and scheduling information.
- Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately.
- Work overtime hours when business needs require it.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Legal Authorization to work in the US is required.
- Will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future.
- Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience.
- Current DOT medical certification.
Skills
- CDL Class A or B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsement
