About the Role
As a Commissioning Agent on our commissioning team (VSC Group), you will provide commissioning services to clients, encompassing both off-site development and on-site physical verification. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about quality and accuracy, seeking a blend of hands-on field work and technical office development.
Responsibilities
- Work with the latest cloud-based commissioning technology and software.
- Develop detailed functional performance test procedures.
- Attend commissioning and related meetings, including chairing meetings and taking minutes.
- Complete onsite commissioning, including filling out forms and identifying deficiencies.
- Represent VSC Group at commissioning site meetings to present progress, identify contractor requirements, and address contractor and client/owner representative questions.
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Respond thoughtfully and effectively to sensitive situations.
- Able to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Completion of a Mechanical Engineering degree / Technologist or Technician diploma/degree in a related field.
- 2+ years of equivalent MEP construction, commissioning and project management experience.
- Computer literacy with MS Office including Word, Excel, and Project.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Willing to travel both in and out of Ontario (not outside Canada).
- Valid Ontario Driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Personnel security clearance is required at Secret (Level II) or Top Secret (Level III).
