About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Head of Field Sales to lead and scale our UK Field Sales organization. This is a significant leadership opportunity at an exciting stage of Teya's growth, with the ambition to grow the team from approximately 25 to 80 sellers by 2027. You will own the channel's performance, focusing on customer acquisition, revenue growth, sales productivity, profitability, and people development. A key part of your role will be scaling Teya Cities, our integrated approach to local markets, establishing a repeatable model for market entry and sustainable commercial growth. This hands-on leadership role requires strategic thinking and a deep understanding of field sales execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial performance, taking full accountability for the UK Field Sales channel's new customer acquisition, revenue, sales volumes, and profitability.
  • Establish clear commercial targets and performance expectations across regions, teams, and individual sellers.
  • Drive improvements in sales productivity, conversion, pricing discipline, and unit economics.
  • Build a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, coaching, and consistent execution.
  • Lead the expansion of our field sales presence across the UK, building the necessary teams and capabilities.
  • Play a leading role in scaling Teya Cities, establishing a repeatable and commercially sustainable model for launching and growing local markets.
  • Partner closely with Inside Sales, Marketing, Customer Relations, and GTM Enablement for a joined-up customer acquisition approach.
  • Utilize commercial performance data to identify opportunities, optimize territories, and inform investment decisions.
  • Build a strong leadership team capable of managing, coaching, and developing high-performing field sales agents.
  • Work closely with the People team to strengthen recruitment, onboarding, and sales capability development.
  • Establish clear expectations for new-starter productivity, ongoing performance, and career progression.
  • Create a culture where great performance is recognized, underperformance is addressed, and people are supported to reach their potential.
  • Establish effective management routines, including performance reviews, pipeline management, forecasting, coaching, and field visits.
  • Ensure sales teams effectively utilize CRM systems, sales tools, and performance data.
  • Translate commercial strategy into clear priorities and measurable outcomes for teams nationwide.
  • Collaborate with central Product, Pricing, and Sales Platform teams to continuously improve the proposition and sales organization effectiveness.
  • Maintain a strong presence in the field, staying close to customers, managers, and sales agents.

Requirements

  • Proven commercial leader with success in building, leading, and scaling high-performing field sales organizations.
  • Significant field sales leadership experience, ideally eight or more years, including managing managers and geographically distributed sales teams.
  • Strong track record of scaling field sales operations, ideally within payments, fintech, telecommunications, utilities, or another high-volume B2B environment.
  • Experience selling to small and medium-sized businesses, with a strong understanding of face-to-face customer acquisition.
  • Demonstrable success in improving sales productivity, commercial performance, and unit economics.
  • Experience building and developing sales leadership teams, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management at scale.
  • Strong commercial and analytical judgment, with the ability to translate data into decisions and measurable results.
  • Experience establishing scalable sales processes, operating rhythms, and performance management frameworks.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Ambitious, commercially sharp, and comfortable taking ownership.
  • Sets high standards, makes evidence-based decisions, and challenges the status quo.
  • Balances delivering current numbers with building for future growth.
  • Enjoys developing people, building teams, and spending time in the field.
