About the Role

The Adult Cardiac OR cares for a wide variety of patients including those undergoing CABGs, TAVIs, and Heart Failure procedures (VAD’s, ECMO, Artificial Heart and Heart Transplants). The OR staff utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to care for patients of all ages. This role requires the ability to independently scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac cases.

Responsibilities

Independently scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac cases, including CABGs, structural heart cases (Bentall), minimally invasive procedures (Mini Aortic Valve Replacement), and heart failure cases (Impella).
Care for a wide variety of patients undergoing cardiac procedures.

Requirements

RN License (NY License ONLY)
Two (2) years of experience required
Operating room experience in a level 1 trauma center is preferred
Ability to circulate and scrub
Telemetry experience preferred if the healthcare professional has ACLS certification
