About the Role
The NY Compliance Administrator plays a critical role in supporting Beacon’s mission by ensuring compliance with federal regulations, New York State Article 19-A regulations and helping maintain the highest standards of driver qualification and operational safety.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the Federal and NY State Article 19-A compliance program
- Maintain Driver Qualification Files
- Track annual and biennial requirements: monitor expirations and compliance status
- Conduct routine audits, maintain compliance records, support inspections and regulatory reviews
- Develop compliance reports, monitor key indicators, support dashboards, and escalate compliance risks
- Coordinate testing, onboarding, and driver qualification activities
- Identify opportunities to improve compliance processes and support technology solutions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of transportation, compliance, safety, HR, or administrative experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- School transportation experience
- Article 19-A knowledge
- 19-A Examiner certification
- Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA regulations.
