About the Role
The National Safety Council is seeking Part-Time Instructors to teach adult and teen-focused classroom courses on the importance of safe driving, supporting the mission to eliminate preventable death and injury.
Responsibilities
- Teach life-saving Driver Safety Course curriculum to a variety of motorists.
- Conduct classes on weekends, weekdays, and in the evenings.
- Manage diverse groups of students and handle unexpected difficulties during class.
- Utilize a personal email address for e-communication with the Instructor Portal & DDC Information Highway.
Requirements
- Experience in public speaking with the ability to lead effective classroom discussions.
- Ability to handle a diverse group of students.
- A background in sociology, psychology, counseling, or education.
- Personal email address required for e-communication.
- Ability to deal with unexpected difficulties such as equipment failures, facility issues, individuals with learning or behavioral difficulties, and/or disruptions to class.
- Bilingual in English & Spanish, must be able to speak in both Spanish and English.
- Weekend availability preferred.
