About the Role
As our Senior Structured Trading Business Analyst at Centrica Energy, you will play an important role in shaping the ETRM solutions that support our gas, power and LNG trading business. You will work across front, middle, and back office, analyzing complex business requirements, translating them into effective solutions, and collaborating with the Programme Manager and delivery teams.
Responsibilities
- Take a hands-on approach to analysing business processes and shaping effective Risk and Valuation solutions.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with business owners and key stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into clear, accurate and testable requirements.
- Deliver high-quality analysis and fit-for-purpose solutions on time.
- Champion effective change control, version control and configuration management.
- Proactively monitor progress, tackle challenges and escalate risks or issues.
- Bring learning into future delivery through retrospectives.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and relevant technology developments.
Requirements
- Strong Business Analysis experience with a proven track record of supporting the development and delivery of complex enterprise applications.
- Solid experience working with Risk and Valuation systems within banking, financial services, energy or commodity trading environments.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented and comfortable working at pace while maintaining a sharp focus on quality.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Confident working with technical and business teams to turn complex requirements into clear, practical and effective solutions.
- Experience supporting high-quality solutions across large, distributed platforms, applying modern architectural principles and best practice.
- A collaborative mindset, bringing energy, curiosity and a hands-on approach to solving problems.
