About the Role
The purpose of this position is to assist with Refinery operations.
Responsibilities
- Operates casting and super pumps, kettle mixers and bridge crane.
- Operates fork trucks and mobile cart. May also be trained to operate Hi-Lo and man lift if needed.
- Assists refinery operators in all areas of casting and refining.
- Ensures all equipment leaving a dirty area is pressure washed to prevent tracking.
- Cleans all spills as they occur.
- Performs all kettle treatments with minimal assistance.
- Skims dross from molten metal in kettles.
- Monitors and adjusts temperatures on refining kettles.
- Performs clean up around kettles and throughout the area.
- Keeps work area neat, clean, and free of debris and obstacles.
- Ensures no waste (trash) is left on the ground or in improper containers.
Requirements
- Possess a valid US Driver’s License
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in an industrial environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Able to perform physical labor
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment.
