About the Role
We are looking for an individual to translate educational visions into built spaces and support our new educational project from site selection to opening with construction expertise and a passion for design. We offer a varied and challenging role in a dedicated and supportive team, fostering mutual support and open communication.
Responsibilities
- Support site selection, inspection, and analysis.
- Translate educational concepts into spatial and usage concepts.
- Coordinate with architects and specialist planners.
- Prepare and manage approval processes, including building applications, change of use, fire safety concepts, and inspections by building authorities and health departments.
- Manage and oversee renovations of existing buildings, including on-site schedule and quality control.
- Research and plan spatial and media equipment.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or Construction Project Management, preferably with an educational focus; alternatively, an educational degree plus demonstrable experience in educational or school construction.
- Experience in project management of renovations or refurbishment measures and with approval processes.
- Sound knowledge or strong interest in reform pedagogical concepts and learning space design.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills when dealing with authorities, planners, and trades.
- Structured, self-directed, and solution-oriented approach to work.
