About the Role

Responsibilities

Analyze transport structures, processes, and costs, and develop strategies for efficient and future-proof Transportation Management with clients.
Design Target Operating Models for transport management, shaping organizational structures, roles, processes, governance, and collaboration with logistics partners, 4PL providers, and control towers.
Develop target architectures and roadmaps for digital transport control, considering existing IT systems, integration requirements, and future developments.
Translate business requirements into concrete selection criteria, evaluate suitable Transport Management Systems (TMS) and providers, and support tenders, system demonstrations, and decision-making processes.
Support the introduction of new transport processes and TMS solutions, ensuring the interplay of business requirements, organizational changes, and technical implementation.
Lead consulting projects, manage your project team, and take responsibility for project success, result quality, and client satisfaction.
Develop our methods and consulting approaches in Transportation Management together with the team and share your expertise with colleagues and clients.
Identify consulting needs in Transportation Management, build client relationships, and develop tailored proposals from initial contact to presentation of our consulting approach.

Requirements

Completed studies in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Business Informatics, Logistics, or a comparable field, ideally with a Master's degree or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 5-6 years of relevant professional experience in Transportation Management, with prior experience in consulting and project leadership.
In-depth knowledge in several of the following areas: transport strategies, target operating models, IT strategies, and support for TMS solution selection and implementation.
Familiarity with the requirements of modern transport management and control tower solutions, and ability to assess the suitability of TMS solutions for different client needs.
Ability to structure complex tasks, lead project and client teams, and develop practical, sustainable solutions with clients.
Strong communication skills, ability to moderate workshops effectively, and foster trustful collaboration between business units, IT, software vendors, and implementation partners.
Willingness to travel for project-related assignments, both domestically and internationally, with frequency depending on the project.
Fluent written and spoken German and English for regional and international projects.
