About the Role

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for maintaining strong relationships with both employees and clients, ensuring the highest quality of customer service and security personnel to meet and exceed client goals during an assigned shift.

Responsibilities

Ensure GardaWorld Security core values are integrated into all business practices.
Supervise day-to-day security service provided to the facility to ensure the highest standards.
Assist in the development and implementation of staffing schedules, payroll, and other reports.
Ensure operational logs, records, and post orders are maintained appropriately.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and employees, serving as the liaison between GardaWorld, the client, and assigned staff.
Assist in the selection, orientation, training, and continual development of staff.
Maintain a goal of zero safety incidents and manage a robust safety culture and program.
Review security officer schedules and staffing levels to identify opportunities for improvement, decreased risk, and reduced cost.
Respond to operational emergencies, ensuring timely response, communication, and accurate reporting.
Direct, supervise, and support shift officers.
Recommend, nominate, and distribute rewards and recognition.
Responsible for corrective action and discipline of subordinate officers, up to formal warnings, and recommending disciplinary decisions.
Supervise and manage employees on shift at the assigned job site.
Maintain a healthy, professional relationship with the client at the assigned site.
Exercise independent judgment and sound decision-making.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Must successfully pass an extensive background screening which may include criminal record checks (local, state and federal), drug test, skills assessment test, interviews, and personality profile.
Negative result on pre-employment drug screen.
