About the Role
Finger Lakes Health College of Nursing is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable nursing professional to join our faculty as a Part-Time Professor in our Registered Nursing (RN) Program. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced nursing professional who is passionate about education, mentoring future registered nurses, and preparing students for successful careers in healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom and/or clinical instruction to RN nursing students.
- Develop and maintain an engaging and supportive learning environment.
- Prepare instructional materials, lesson plans, and learning activities.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Assist students in developing critical thinking, clinical judgment, and evidence-based nursing practice.
- Support students in developing the clinical skills necessary for professional nursing practice.
- Maintain accurate student records, evaluations, and required documentation.
- Collaborate with faculty and nursing program leadership to support curriculum objectives.
- Promote professional nursing standards, patient safety, and quality patient care.
Requirements
- Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) required, or actively enrolled in a Master's degree program in Nursing.
- Relevant clinical nursing experience.
- Previous teaching, precepting, or mentoring experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for nursing education and student development.
