About the Role
Join our team and contribute to a company dedicated to environmental sustainability and community service. As a driver, you will be crucial in delivering essential services and making a positive impact.
Responsibilities
- Drive any vehicle supplied by Veolia, having received relevant training.
- Carry out and complete daily vehicle checks and daily defect books as instructed.
- Ensure that the vehicle is in a roadworthy condition and report any defects to the Supervisor or Manager immediately.
- Be responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is kept clean and tidy both inside and out at all times.
- Ensure that all loads are safe and secure by using sheeting systems provided as well as use any fall arrest systems to get up, down and on top of the trailers.
- Report any accidents or incidents that occur during the shift immediately to the Supervisor or Manager and ensure that the relevant accident/incident report is duly completed and submitted for investigation.
- Ensure that all road traffic rules and regulations are adhered to at all times and that all parking restrictions are observed.
- Ensure the correct completion and submission of tachograph uploads as per the company policy and procedures.
- Adhere to all company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Once driving duties are completed to assist with any other duties as directed.
- Follow all reasonable instructions given by your Manager or Supervisor.
Requirements
- Class 1 licence
- Able to work well as a team and alone
- Previous waste experience (Desirable)
