About the Role
We are looking for an Embedded Software Architect C (m/f/x) for our client in the radio and communication industry. You will work with passion and team spirit on exciting projects and future-oriented technologies.
Responsibilities
- Develop device software architecture for future broadband communication systems in modern aircraft.
- Design scalable software architectures for communication systems of various aircraft classes, considering modularity, performance, and the division between hardware, firmware, and software.
- Define software architectures and interfaces based on operational requirements.
- Actively develop embedded software in C for communication devices, from implementing individual modules to integration on the target platform.
- Commission, debug, and optimize the developed software on real hardware, considering real-time, performance, and interface requirements.
- Coordinate closely with hardware architecture, FPGA development, and system engineering.
- Document architectural decisions and support development teams in implementation.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience in software architecture for radio or communication systems.
- Sound knowledge of Embedded C. C++ experience is welcome but does not replace C.
- Familiarity with hardware-near software development, especially driver development and boot processes.
- Familiarity with real-time systems.
- Confident demeanor and clear communication, including with hardware and system teams.
- Fluent in German and English (spoken and written).
