About the Role
Schonbek, a premium lighting brand and a member of The WAC Group, is looking for a Fabricator responsible for producing quality frames free from defects while meeting production schedules in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, equipment, and systems of work.
- Participate in training as needed.
- Read and comprehend blueprints, routing, job cards, bill of materials, and other pre-established guidelines.
- Fabricate parts using appropriate hand and air tools, documentation, jigs, and equipment.
- Set up and operate fabrication equipment such as resistance welder, grinder, ring roller, rivet machine, shear, drill press, press brake, hydraulic press, bending table, T-drill, cut off machine, beader, and threader.
- Ensure product quality by identifying issues with manufactured and purchased parts.
- Obtain necessary information and daily work schedule by referencing the computer system.
- Participate in inventory activities including cycle counting.
- Rack parts in preparation for finishing.
- Ensure an organized, clean, and safe workspace by applying 6S guidelines.
- May be assigned to other areas within the organization.
- Meet performance expectations during the probationary period.
Requirements
- Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to work 6:30 am - 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday, and overtime as needed.
- Must have a reliable attendance record.
