About the Role
This opportunity is for highly accomplished kdb+ engineers with strong commercial experience and a proven track record of delivering impact in complex environments. The role involves contributing from day one within a high-performance, client-facing consultancy environment, solving challenging problems for global financial institutions and accelerating your career on an international stage.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business users to define new application requirements.
- Develop, test, and maintain clean, performant code for client applications.
- Support project delivery alongside Project Managers and senior developers.
- Work as part of a close-knit team to deliver solutions on time and on budget.
- Analyze large-scale time-series data and generate actionable reports.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of learning.
Requirements
- 4+ years of commercial kdb+ development experience working with both real-time and historical data.
- Solid understanding of q language and time-series data structures.
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
- Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and the SDLC.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills.
- Prior experience of working in Capital Markets/Investment Banking/Consulting.
