About the Role
Classical Charter Schools is seeking a Resident Substitute Teacher committed to maximizing student achievement and development. This role involves facilitating lessons in absent-teacher classrooms across subjects and grade-levels using Classical’s scripted curriculum, maintaining high behavioral expectations, and engaging with scholars and staff.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and facilitating lessons in absent-teacher classrooms across subjects and grade-levels using Classical’s scripted curriculum
- Maintaining high behavioral expectations, sustaining established classroom systems, and executing schoolwide procedures and routines
- Engaging with scholars and staff across a range of grade-levels
- Being consistently reliable and present; communicating effectively; demonstrating flexibility and responding productively to in-the-moment changes
Requirements
- An undergraduate degree from a 4-year college or university
- Experience teaching at a high-performing charter school (preferred)
- Visible alignment to Classical’s mission and approach
- Exhibit excellent work ethic and organizational skills
