About the Role

Inspired Education is seeking an IT Operations Engineer to provide school-based IT support and strategic advice for teaching and learning. This role involves managing IT incidents, implementing systems, and ensuring the security and operational robustness of ICT systems.

Responsibilities

Provide technical advice for IT incident resolution.
Collaborate with the Service Desk to ensure escalated IT issues are resolved within SLA.
Work with Head Office to implement IT systems.
Document the setup and configuration of school-specific IT systems.
Manage IT incidents using the Service Desk tool.
Manage IT problems to resolution.
Ensure IT changes are managed and documented.
Advise on system enhancements and recommend improvements or replacements.
Support the deployment of school systems.
Provide advice and guidance on IT system usage to staff and students.
Maintain up-to-date IT documentation and asset lists.
Assist in the design, implementation, and management of a Disaster Recovery Plan.
Assist in the selection and acquisition of computer hardware, software, and third-party application packages.
Ensure adherence to company policies, focusing on IT and data security.
Ensure local school policies and procedures are in place for operational, robust, and secure ICT systems.
Work flexibly as required to support the role's duties.

Requirements

Strong technical expertise across Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Intune, and Entra.
Proven experience supporting and maintaining server, network, and IT infrastructure environments.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve a wide range of technical issues.
Experience implementing IT system changes and providing user support, guidance, and training.
Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality IT support and service.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and negotiation abilities.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound problem-solving capabilities.
Technologically agile.
Experience within the education sector is advantageous.
