About the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Nuclear Island Programme. This role involves supporting the delivery of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and construction activities for critical contracts and work packages. You will coordinate complex projects, manage stakeholder interfaces, and support major engineering and construction milestones, offering a chance to advance your project management career on a significant infrastructure program.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and construction activities across the Nuclear Island Programme.
- Coordinate project activities and engineering studies to achieve programme milestones and delivery objectives.
- Manage interfaces between engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams for integrated delivery.
- Support project controls activities, including reporting, KPI tracking, forecasting, and progress monitoring.
- Engage with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and opportunities.
- Support contract management, governance, and change control activities for assigned work packages.
- Contribute to construction readiness, logistics planning, and programme integration activities for successful project delivery.
Requirements
- Experience supporting project delivery in engineering, infrastructure, energy, construction, utilities, defence, or other highly regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of project management principles, including planning, risk management, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to coordinate multiple activities and priorities within a complex project environment.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and managing relationships across a broad stakeholder network.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- An analytical approach with the ability to interpret project data and support informed decision-making.
- A desire to learn, develop, and progress within a major project environment.
- Must meet criteria for Security Vetting, ordinarily requiring UK residency for at least three of the past five years.

Salary/Compensations
- £56,506 + depending on experience
