About the Role
We are seeking a Category Manager to lead the strategy, range, and commercial performance of a core category, such as tech accessories or travel products. This high-ownership role involves being the internal expert on market dynamics, customer behavior, and category performance to drive growth. You will collaborate with various teams including Product, S&OP, Marketing, Growth, E-Commerce, and Internationalisation to define product development, pricing, positioning, and performance. Responsibilities

- Lead category strategy and annual planning, setting clear goals for revenue, margin, and market position.
- Track market and product timing to ensure products are ready for key launch windows and trading moments, working with Product on briefs and timelines.
- Integrate consumer and market insights into new product development.
- Collaborate with the Data team on pricing analysis and with the Head of Commercial to set and maintain category pricing.
- Partner with Marketing and Growth on content and campaign planning, ensuring clear communication of category priorities.
- Work with S&OP on forecasting and reordering to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Support the Internationalisation team with market-specific range and pricing strategies.
- Own the category P&L, tracking revenue, margin, and sell-through against plan, and identifying risks and opportunities.
- Monitor competitors and market trends to understand the company's position and identify opportunities.
Requirements
- Strong commercial sense and ability to read, build, and own a P&L.
- Experience in category management, buying, or product marketing within a consumer goods or D2C business.
- Proficiency in using data to inform decisions on range, pricing, and forecasting.
- Excel proficiency for commercial modeling and reporting.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Natural collaborator capable of influencing without direct authority.
- Detail-oriented and commercially minded.
- Proactive and self-directed, with the ability to identify problems and drive solutions.
- Clear and confident communicator, able to present ideas to senior stakeholders.
- Proven experience in a category management, product, buying, or commercial role (nice to have).
- Experience with Amazon and DTC channel planning (nice to have).
