About the Role
Lead and manage large HVAC/HVDC transmission projects, overseeing project engineers, business cases, and team development. Support company management in steering business objectives and KPIs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop project team members.
- Take full operational lead of large projects from proposal to realization, managing technical scope, financial budget, timeline, and quality.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with employers and subcontractors.
- Ensure team performance and foster a positive feedback and development culture.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders and build trusted relationships with client senior managers.
- Contribute to business development activities, both internally within the Elia Group and externally on an international level.
- Ensure projects contribute to overall company objectives and KPIs.
- Contribute to resource planning, workload forecast, and staff allocation.
- Promote exchange with other projects and teams.
- Organize and execute training programs for the team and the Berlin office.
- Continuously develop expertise to support the company's market positioning.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in a managing position.
- Proven experience in primary technology, secondary systems, control and protection systems for medium- to high-voltage installations, ideally in project implementation.
- Proven track record in project management.
- Applied skill in state-the-art project management methods.
- Strong team player and leader with ability and interest in coaching team members.
- Effective communication skills for internal and external stakeholders, especially at decision-making level.
- Capacity for creative, conceptual thought and ability to swiftly familiarize with new and complex issues.
- Knowledge of and experience in the application of conflict resolution methods.
- Willingness to travel abroad depending on project needs (20%).
