About the Role

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning and design of low-voltage switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), and associated field wiring for megawatt-scale electrolyzers.

Responsibilities

Review, analyze, and implement technical requirements into engineering solutions.
Create circuit diagrams and general arrangement drawings using EPLAN.
Plan field wiring, cable trays, cable routes, and cable entries, and create corresponding connection and terminal diagrams.
Support inspection and testing of finished systems.
Continuously update knowledge of electrical regulations, technologies, and best practices.
Actively participate in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines and departments like purchasing and project planning to ensure timely project completion.

Requirements

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical field.
Alternatively, further training as a state-certified technician (m/f/d) in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics, ideally with several years of professional experience in industrial electrical design.
Sound professional experience in industrial electrical systems.
Experience in the design and construction of CE-compliant control cabinets and electrical installations according to EN 61439 and IEC 61439.
Experience in creating circuit diagrams and general arrangement drawings with EPLAN or comparable electrical CAD software.
Knowledge of design requirements according to the Machinery Directive and EMC Directive.
Strong organizational skills, independent work style, and enjoyment of teamwork.
Solution-oriented, hands-on mentality and willingness to actively contribute to all phases of the project lifecycle.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
High level of attention to detail and quality standards for technical documentation and drawings.
Good spoken and written German and English language skills.
