About the Role
The Assistant Night Manager will support the Night Manager in ensuring all night audit procedures are completed accurately and efficiently, while maintaining the safety, security and smooth operation of the hotel during the night shift.
Responsibilities
- Deputise for the Night Manager in their absence and oversee Front of House Operations during the night shift.
- Manage Front Office activities and ensure adequate staffing levels across all operational departments including Reception, Concierge, Security, Room Service, Engineering, Switchboard and Food & Beverage outlets.
- Support the Night Auditors and Reception team to maintain high service standards and operational excellence.
- Monitor room inventory, room allocations and hotel occupancy to maximise room revenue and minimise overbooking risks.
- Assist with night audit procedures, ensuring all rates, market segments, nationalities and financial transactions are correctly recorded.
- Manage VIP arrivals, guest requests, complaints and service recovery to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction.
- Maintain sufficient operational supplies and ensure all nightly procedures are completed efficiently.
- Ensure a comprehensive handover is completed at the end of each shift.
Requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization.
- Confident individual who is adept in prioritising and managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to take the initiative and deal with unexpected situations and last minute changes.
- Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential data.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, proactive, resourceful with excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrate excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills with the customers and other hotel departments.

- Must be eligible to live and work in the United Kingdom.
