About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Co-Founder & CTO to build and scale the technology and product for an AI venture focused on revolutionizing technical field service. The role involves taking a tested MVP to a production-grade product, building AI workflows, and shaping the company's strategy and culture.
Responsibilities
- Own technology end to end: architecture, roadmap, build-vs-buy decisions, reliability, and security.
- Transition the tested MVP to a production-grade product for daily use by field technicians.
- Develop reliable AI workflows and integrations with customer systems (e.g., work orders, asset data).
- Continuously enhance the Machine Learning core, including retrieval, multimodal input, and diagnostic reasoning.
- Design and build the learning engine to improve the product with each job.
- Establish evaluation, safety, and monitoring protocols.
- Create a state-of-the-art UX/UI for technicians.
- Gather feedback from technicians in the field and implement product changes rapidly.
- Recruit and lead the engineering team during scaling.
- Contribute to company strategy, culture, and investor discussions as a co-founder.
Requirements
- Machine Learning experience, ideally 3+ years applying it in production products (e.g., LLMs, retrieval/RAG, NLP, computer vision, model evaluation).
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build a company, demonstrating ownership, bias for action, and comfort with ambiguity.
- Experience leading the technical build of a product from inception to launch (e.g., as tech lead or founding engineer).
- Hands-on software engineering skills across backend, APIs, data pipelines, and cloud.
- Sound technical judgment regarding LLM capabilities, testing, and appropriate use cases.
- Product empathy and ability to translate user feedback into simple solutions.
- Fluent German and English.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning/AI, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
