About the Role
We are seeking dependable, caring, and energetic Dog Walkers to join our team. This role offers a fun and rewarding opportunity to spend your day with dogs, providing exercise, companionship, and exceptional care while ensuring their safety and well-being. Reliability, professionalism, and a passion for animals are essential.
Responsibilities
- Arrive on time for scheduled visits.
- Safely enter clients' homes and prepare dogs for their walks.
- Walk dogs for 30–60 minutes following owner instructions and approved routes.
- Monitor each dog's health, behavior, and well-being during visits.
- Clean up after pets and maintain a clean environment.
- Provide fresh food or water when requested.
- Ensure pets are secure before leaving the home.
- Communicate any concerns or unusual observations to the team.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to every client.
Requirements
- Experience working with dogs, including volunteer experience, is preferred but not required.
- Comfortable handling dogs of various sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments.
- Reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions (within reason).
- Passion for animal care and a commitment to keeping pets safe and happy.
- Reliable transportation is a must.
- Willing to drive between clients' homes throughout scheduled shifts.
