About the Role
We are seeking our second product designer to define how developers and enterprises discover, adopt, and build with TypeSafe. You will manage design workflows for our marketing website and developer console, guiding users from their initial introduction to TypeSafe through their first API call and their team's production adoption. This role requires blending strong visual craft with thoughtful interaction design to make complex technical capabilities clear, useful, and approachable. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and go-to-market teams, taking projects from discovery through launch and shipping UI changes in production.
Responsibilities
- Design enterprise features within the developer console, focusing on clear workflows for workspaces, team administration, permissions, usage, and billing to aid team adoption and operation at scale.
- Make technical workflows understandable by designing intuitive experiences for onboarding, the playground, and tools used for building, testing, and operating models.
- Build a coherent design system by developing reusable components, patterns, and visual foundations for both the website and console, ensuring accessibility and consistency.
Requirements
- A portfolio demonstrating strong visual and interaction design across web experiences and complex SaaS products.
- Experience designing developer tools, such as IDE plugins, observability systems, and data tools.
- Strong creative problem-solving skills and the ability to apply first principles thinking to design solutions for complex technical systems.
- Familiarity and passion for LLMs and AI tooling, including coding for prototyping, leveraging generative AI products, and frequently trying new AI tools.
- Comfort with reading code, debugging, and close collaboration with engineers.
