About the Role
As an Information Security Manager, you will establish and operate an information management and security system based on contracts with clients, including government agencies. You will be responsible for designing internal regulations and management organizations, registering and educating employees who handle sensitive information, managing documents and information systems, responding to audits and inspections, and handling initial incident response. Your mission is to create and maintain a secure environment that supports Sakana AI's business.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate the information management system (internal regulations, procedures, management organization, external certifications, role assignments).
- Design and operate security measures for information systems and AI risk countermeasures in collaboration with engineers.
- Plan and implement security education for employees and partner companies, and manage records.
- Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments, manage corrective actions, and respond to external audits and certification reviews.
- Attend external training, disseminate knowledge internally, and provide regular reports and improvement proposals to management.
- Obtain and maintain security certifications.
Requirements
- Approximately 5 years or more of cumulative work experience in one of the following:
- Information management or security work experience in government agencies or public institutions.
- Experience as the primary person responsible for building and operating information security/management systems, ISMS/AIMS management systems, or internal control/compliance systems in a company.
- Practical experience as an information management manager or representative in fields such as government projects, R&D, or finance.
- Experience in creating and implementing information management regulations and procedures in the field.
- Experience in guiding and supervising teams or members.
- Comfort with hands-on involvement from establishing systems to daily operations in a small, flat organization.
- Experience handling highly confidential information for public institutions.
- Experience with internal and external audits and inspections.
- Experience in information management/security work with government agencies and negotiation experience with them.
- Knowledge of security systems (management systems such as ISMS (ISO/IEC 27001, AIMS (ISO/IEC 42001)), control measures based on standards like NIST SP 800 series, physical security, personnel security/internal fraud countermeasures, incident response systems like CSIRT).
- Knowledge of technology leakage prevention and security clearance systems.
- Knowledge of security in AI development environments and cloud environments.
- Possession of qualifications such as Information Security Engineer, CISSP, CISM.
- Business-level English proficiency.
