About the Role
This Senior Solutions Engineer position focuses on engaging with public sector clients, primarily universities and research institutions in Japan. The role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute strategies that highlight NetApp's technological value.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and pursue business opportunities by combining various technical elements for new and existing clients.
- Collaborate with partners to develop and execute customer engagement strategies.
- Work closely with internal support departments and relevant parties.
- Present and participate in events and webinars to promote company solutions.
- Conduct product and service demonstrations for clients.
Requirements
- Over 8 years of pre-sales experience in the IT industry.
- Knowledge and experience in AI, infrastructure, virtualization, containers, public cloud, Kubernetes, and cybersecurity.
- Knowledge of storage products (NAS/SAN/Object) and storage services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese.
- Teamwork skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
- Proactive engagement in sales activities with sales teams and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Positive attitude towards tasks.
- Flexibility in adapting to change.
- Ability to read manuals and emails in English and converse in English.
