About the Role
As a Managing Consultant in our Newcastle or Sydney Ecology team, you’ll spearhead innovative biodiversity impact assessments and approvals for high-profile projects in the renewables, resources, government, and planning sectors. Your work will leave a lasting legacy on Australia’s environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire a diverse team of ecologists across Australia.
- Tackle complex ecological challenges with a multidisciplinary impact assessment team.
- Collaborate with clients, regulators, and communities to deliver sustainable solutions.
- Undertake biodiversity assessments.
- Prepare Biodiversity Development Assessment Reports.
- Plan and execute field surveys.
- Prepare management plans and offset strategies.
Requirements
- 5+ years environmental consulting experience
- A proven track record in environmental consulting
- Leadership experience and a collaborative mindset.
- Strong understanding of federal and NSW environmental regulations.
Skills
- Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) accreditation
- Expertise in flora identification
- Expertise in GIS
- Expertise in biodiversity offsets
