About the Role

Join the team behind Triple M’s iconic Rush Hour program, helping bring one of Australia’s most listened-to drive shows to life both on-air and behind the scenes. This dual role supports the station’s Content team, managing on-air execution and operational tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Panel and broadcast all scheduled content, including music, commercials and show segments, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with station strategy.
  • Ensure on-air and pre-recorded content meets risk assessment guidelines and broadcast codes, obtain required approvals, flag potential risks and report missed commercials.
  • Support the Content Director in executing content, social media, advertising and promotional strategies, liaising with network teams and monitoring competitors and market trends.
  • Manage weekend content and network shows, coordinate programming changes across departments and fulfil rostered on-call duties.
  • Recruit, train, support and provide feedback to casual Panel Operators, prepare station rosters within budget and foster a positive team environment.
  • Coordinate imaging, promotions and client commitments; prepare on-air and online content, conduct music and artist research, and assist with production, voiceovers and audio editing.
  • Participate in content meetings, act on feedback, attend station and client events, maintain confidentiality and assist with other duties as directed, including organising guests, phoning listeners and answering phones.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in a radio or broadcast operations environment, with a results-driven and delivery-focused approach.
  • Working knowledge of production systems, including ProTools and Adobe Audition, and on-air systems, including Zetta, Vox Pro, the phone box and the panel.
  • An understanding of, and ability to work in accordance with, the Radio Broadcasting Codes of Decency.
  • An understanding of legal compliance issues with regard to contests, including the assessment of risk around legal and PR outcomes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work as a self-motivated member of the Content team with the Product Team, ACD/MD and CD.
  • Ability to produce engaging content with appropriate format, style and pace, and to relate content decisions to their impact on the market, customers and key audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage rosters, weekend content and casual panel operators, balancing live panel operation with operations support.
