  • Provide analysis to Commercial and Product teams during partner negotiations and performance discussions.
  • Monitor pricing effectiveness and identify opportunities for portfolio improvement.
  • Validate analytical assumptions with Underwriting, Pricing, and Finance stakeholders.
  • Monitor portfolio performance through profitability, loss ratio, frequency, severity, claims trend, exposure, and renewal analyses.
  • Use SQL, Python, and Excel to analyze claims and exposure data and investigate the drivers of profitability changes.
  • Produce regular portfolio reviews covering products, partners, distribution channels, markets, and customer segments.
  • Identify emerging trends, deterioration indicators, and material deviations from expected performance, and recommend corrective actions where appropriate.
  • Build and automate recurring experience monitoring, portfolio scorecards, key performance indicators, and profitability reporting using Power BI or similar tools.
  • Work with Product, Claims, Finance, Commercial, and Operations teams to improve portfolio insights and data quality.
  • Maintain clear and auditable documentation supporting portfolio analyses, governance decisions, and underwriting recommendations.
  • Administer the Red List (our watch list for underperforming products and partners) and its associated governance requirements.
  • Identify products, partners, customer segments, and portfolios requiring enhanced monitoring or remediation.
  • Develop recommendations, including pricing changes, underwriting actions, product modifications, benefit adjustments, or enhanced governance oversight.
  • Prepare materials and recommendations for Local and Global Underwriting Committees.
  • Track remediation actions and assess their effectiveness.
  • Prepare and maintain technical forecasts for budgeting, planning, and business performance reviews.
  • Develop forecast assumptions based on portfolio performance, underwriting actions, pricing changes, and emerging experience trends.
  • Monitor actual performance against forecast and explain material variances.
  • Estimate the expected impact of pricing actions, underwriting decisions, product changes, and portfolio initiatives.
  • Provide portfolio insights that inform strategic decision-making and profitability management.
