About the Role
W Sydney is seeking a Banquets Team Leader to focus on the Banquets department. This role is integral to creating unique and vibrant experiences for guests, collaborating closely with the Banquet Manager. It's ideal for passionate hospitality professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy leading teams, and are driven to create unforgettable moments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the Banquets team to deliver exceptional beverage and food service during events and functions.
- Supervise event setup, execution, and breakdown to ensure all spaces meet brand and operational standards.
- Greet and engage with guests, anticipating their needs, and resolving requests professionally and efficiently.
- Assist with the coordination of banquet operations to ensure events run smoothly and according to client expectations.
- Monitor service standards and provide guidance, coaching, and support to banquet talent throughout shifts.
- Ensure banquet venues, equipment, storage areas, and back-of-house spaces are clean, organised, and well maintained.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of banquet equipment, amenities, and service supplies.
- Identify and report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or operational risks in a timely manner.
- Follow all workplace health, safety, and sanitation procedures, including the correct use of cleaning products and equipment.
- Collaborate with the wider Beverage & Food team and other hotel departments to create memorable guest experiences and deliver Whatever/Whenever service.
Requirements
- Play a key role in delivering exceptional and memorable event experiences for guests.
- Lead by example on the floor, supporting the seamless execution of meetings, conferences, social events, and banquets.
