About the Role
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to manage patient billing for our nursing services. You will ensure accurate and complete billing by working with health insurance and nursing care funds, and following up on discrepancies. Your workspace will be in our office at Kurfürstendamm 92, where our billing and accounting departments are located.
Responsibilities
- Create and review patient invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Apply SGB V and SGB XI regulations, correctly assigning services to the appropriate payer (health insurance or nursing care fund).
- Process private invoices and bills from other payers, such as social services.
- Clarify billing questions by liaising with insurance providers and relevant contacts, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring all issues are addressed.
- Utilize MediFox software for billing; experience with comparable software is beneficial.
Requirements
- Experience in patient billing within the healthcare or nursing sector.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare billing systems, specifically SGB V and SGB XI.
- Understanding of the differences between health insurance and nursing care funds, including the distinction for the 'Entlastungsbetrag' and billing other payers.
- Structured and meticulous work approach, capable of managing multiple open cases and performing thorough reviews.
- Numerical aptitude and a sense of responsibility for accurate and complete billing.
- Familiarity with MediFox software is advantageous, but a strong understanding of billing principles is prioritized.
