About the Role
As the Medical Scientist, you will provide scientific and medical guidance throughout the product life cycle to stakeholders in collaboration with Japan Medical Affairs members, global/Asia Medical Affairs, and other key functions. People Leaders are the cornerstone to the employee experience at Gilead and Kite, driving culture and creating an environment where every employee feels included, developed, and empowered.
Responsibilities
- Establish effective working relationships with Oncology KOLs and key external stakeholders, recognized as an innovative and value partner.
- Manage regular communication with Oncology KOLs and clinical trial investigators, providing medical guidance and background information.
- Develop and execute medical activities, including medical education and data generation, in alignment with strategic priorities.
- Attend major conferences and coordinate medical affairs activities, potentially presenting to external audiences.
- Maintain clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in the Oncology area.
- Manage projects to completion, anticipating and collaboratively resolving obstacles.
- Ensure all interactions and activities in Japan adhere to corporate compliance guidance and industry codes of conduct.
- Create Inclusion by understanding the business value of diverse teams and modeling inclusion.
- Develop Talent by coaching employees on performance and potential, ensuring they receive feedback for growth.
- Empower Teams by aligning goals with organizational objectives and removing barriers.
Requirements
- Must have strong industry experience (+3 yrs).
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English.
- Exhibit excellent judgment and ability to work in a team environment.
- Hands-on involvement is a must (effective use of external resources).
