About the Role
This foundational business management role in Revenue Operations owns the capacity planning function, integrating five key forecasts to manage GPU inventory, data center space, and power. The role is critical for identifying, planning against, and relieving capacity constraints that impact growth, acting as a single point of integration across Sales, Sales Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Customer Success.
Responsibilities
- Own the integrated capacity forecast, reconciling five independent inputs into a single plan.
- Establish cadence, templates, data definitions, and submission deadlines for functional forecasts.
- Reconcile and resolve conflicts between different functional views of the forecast.
- Identify forecast disagreements and quantify their consequences.
- Maintain the integrated forecast as the single source of truth for capacity planning.
- Run recurring S&OP reviews to align functions on one plan.
- Track forecast accuracy, provide feedback, and drive improvements.
- Own end-to-end program plans, milestones, and dependency maps for cross-functional initiatives.
- Define program scope, success metrics, and decision points, driving programs from definition to delivery.
- Identify and resolve risks, blockers, and resourcing gaps.
- Run planning cadences and working sessions to keep multi-team programs moving.
- Provide clear status reporting on programs, decisions, and risks to leadership.
- Manage change into the field and business, planning communications and rollout.
- Confirm program effects post-launch and retire or simplify obsolete processes.
- Own the backstop program end-to-end, managing investment-grade partners for new capacity.
- Build and run the backstop flywheel, including partner pipeline, qualification, and deal structure.
- Maintain the backstop pipeline as a tracked, forecastable asset.
- Partner with Alliances and Finance on backstop conversations and deal structures.
- Report backstop status, risk, and capacity implications to executive cadence.
- Build and own the medium-range demand forecast for GPU capacity, data center space, and power.
- Translate quote and opportunity pipeline into resource requirements.
- Distinguish clearly between forecast, plan, and allocation.
- Qualify incoming capacity against the demand forecast.
- Model scenarios and sensitivities for leadership.
- Reconcile demand against orders, inventory, inbound supply, and vendor lead times.
- Maintain the capacity data layer as the canonical view of available capacity.
- Run the plan-versus-reality loop, surfacing stale allocations and driving variance to zero.
- Chase discrepancies to resolution.
- Close data gaps preventing accurate planning.
- Operate the allocation process for capacity distribution when demand exceeds supply.
- Support sales teams with capacity questions and deal-level commitments.
- Bring a defensible framework to prioritization decisions.
- Escalate capacity conflicts early with recommendations.
- Run the operating rhythm for capacity, reconciling demand, supply, and constraints.
- Build and maintain capacity views and dashboards.
- Produce executive and board-ready reporting on capacity position and risk.
- Document process, decision rights, and data definitions to an auditable standard.
- Act as a bridge between commercial and technical teams, translating requirements.
- Drive coordination across Sales, Sales Engineering, Revenue Operations, Operations, Finance, Alliances, and Customer Success.
- Partner with Revenue Operations and data teams to systematize capacity data capture.
- Influence without authority and build alignment across teams with competing priorities.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience spanning capacity planning, demand or supply planning, technical program management, or business operations in a hardware-intensive or infrastructure environment.
- Experience running an S&OP or integrated business planning process across multiple functions.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional programs from definition through delivery.
- Direct experience planning capacity for large-scale technical infrastructure (cloud, neocloud, data center, HPC, or comparable).
- Proficiency with core program management practices and tooling.
- Demonstrated ability to build models yourself, with advanced Excel required and SQL strongly preferred.
- Track record building models that survive messy source data and reconciling relentlessly.
- Working understanding of data center resource classes.
- Ability to translate analysis into action.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Track record of influencing without authority and building alignment across teams with competing priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical, financial, or operational field, or equivalent practical experience.
