About the Role
Support the day-to-day operations of the Specialists One-Day Surgery Center, working alongside the nursing staff, supervisors, and the full care team to ensure smooth operations and an exceptional patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist PACU (or OR) nurses as needed.
- Clean stretchers/chairs and rooms in the 23-hour area between patients according to facility specifications.
- Distribute linen throughout the facility and remove soiled linen to the soiled linen room; may be required to fold linen.
- Distribute scrub attire clothing to staff locker rooms.
- Maintain stock levels of blankets in warmers.
- Assist in ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels in nursing areas.
- Assist in unloading and delivering stock throughout the building.
- Change depleted oxygen tanks in a safe manner.
- Assist with patient flow, transfers, and toileting needs.
- Assist in prepping/clipping patients.
- Transport patients safely using appropriate means.
- Provide a friendly, safe, timely, quality-driven environment responsive to customer needs.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Willingness to obtain CPR/BLS certification.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong data entry skills.
Work Type
- Monday-Friday 9-5:30pm
Education Level
- Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program preferred but not required.
- CPR/BLS preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
