About the Role
Imperial Cleaning is seeking a dedicated individual to perform daily cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas, equipment, and common areas within a healthcare setting. This role requires a strong understanding of healthcare cleaning principles, safety guidelines, and infection control practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas, equipment, and common areas.
- Demonstrate knowledge of healthcare cleaning and disinfecting principles, chemical use, and equipment handling.
- Adhere to all organizational safety, risk management, and infection control guidelines.
- Participate in departmental performance improvement initiatives.
- Maintain cleaning carts, supplies, and equipment.
- Remove and transport waste to appropriate disposal areas, identifying proper waste streams.
- Follow all infection prevention practices, including hand hygiene and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Recognize and adhere to patient privacy requirements (HIPAA).
- Practice critical thinking and demonstrate personal accountability.
- Identify and utilize appropriate resources to resolve problems or concerns.
- Demonstrate knowledge of facility safety requirements.
- Operate and maintain all tools and equipment needed for cleaning and disinfection.
- Perform specialty tasks as needed, such as conference room setup, stairwell and elevator cleaning, and hanging cubicle curtains.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to read and write English.

- Effective use of computers and/or mobile devices for daily job performance activities.
- Knowledge of healthcare cleaning and disinfecting principles.
