About the Role
Major Food Group is seeking experienced Lunch Captains for Torrisi, a New York-Italian restaurant located in the historic Puck Building.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate guest needs and ensure service meets or exceeds expectations for a memorable dining experience.
- Inspect dining room for maintenance, cleanliness, and safety.
- Receive and greet guests, assisting with seating as needed.
- Monitor tables for guest satisfaction and resolve issues.
- Maintain menu knowledge, presentation standards, and food/beverage preparation techniques.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of fine dining food and beverage service captain experience.
- Excellent knowledge of dining room and service procedures.
- Professional presentation and positive attitude.
- Excellent knowledge of POS systems.
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods.
- Open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Experience Level
- Minimum 2 years experience
