About the Role
The Chemistry Shopfloor team in Berlin supports employees in chemical production, ensuring the safe and timely manufacturing of high-quality products for water quality testing worldwide. The team defines, implements, measures, and improves standards daily, while also driving improvement initiatives in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and digitalization.
Responsibilities
- Support the Lean program by developing and training Lean tools on the shopfloor (e.g., Daily Management, Standard Work, Problem-Solving Process).
- Standardize shopfloor management processes to improve the efficiency of daily operations (e.g., improve shift planning concepts and shift handovers).
- Conduct projects in digitalization and data analysis (e.g., programming in MS tools like SharePoint, Flow, PowerApps, and PowerBI).
- Support the introduction of a new ERP/MES system on the shopfloor.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or scientific field, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical and Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemical Engineering, or similar.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 with excellent Excel skills.
- Independent, meticulous, and communicative work style.
- Fluent German and good written and spoken English skills.
