About the Role
Beacon is building the essential technology infrastructure for the everyday economy by acquiring, operating, and growing vertical market software companies. We invest in founder-built businesses, accelerate their growth with an AI-native platform, and hold them permanently.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end deal process, including financial, operational, commercial, product, and technical diligence.
- Source and execute M&A transactions, with 70% of the role focused on underwriting and execution.
- Build and scale proprietary M&A agents and AI product suite.
- Collaborate with leadership to shape investment strategy, philosophy, theses, and capital allocation.
- Present acquisition opportunities and recommendations with detailed financial models and analysis.
- Manage relationships with founders, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams (finance, legal, operations) for successful integration.
- Assist in the finance, operations, and integration of newly acquired businesses.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in M&A, private equity, investment banking, corporate development, or strategic finance.
- Proven experience leading and closing M&A transactions from sourcing to integration.
- Ability to identify growth opportunities and contribute to long-term company vision.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple deals simultaneously.
- Strong academic record with a degree in Business or Finance from a competitive institution.
- Deep interest in technology and diverse industries.
- Familiarity with a buy-and-build model and experience in VMS, software, or technology is a plus.
- Strong ability to synthesize complex systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to translate high-level objectives into actionable work plans.
- High attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Extremely organized.
- Conduct interactions with integrity and trust.
