Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient examinations and procedures
- Record patient vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints accurately in EMR/EHR systems
- Prepare and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms between patient visits
- Administer injections, draw blood, and perform routine diagnostic tests as directed
- Schedule patient appointments and manage follow-up care coordination
- Handle patient inquiries, insurance verification, and front-desk support as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient medical office setting is a plus
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR software and basic medical office procedures
- Strong phlebotomy and vital signs skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinical environment
