About the Role
SPORTIME is seeking a dedicated individual to provide a first-class transportation experience for members, ensuring professional and courteous service while prioritizing safety and vehicle maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Provide a first-class transportation experience for members.
- Act in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Ensure students are secured in their seat belts prior to departure.
- Follow safety rules during boarding and exiting, including applicable COVID guidelines.
- Check vehicle conditions (tires, brakes, wipers, lights, gas, oil) for proper working order.
- Comply with traffic regulations for safe operation.
- Regulate vehicle controls (air, heating, lighting, radio) for passenger comfort.
- Report all accidents, delays, or unusual circumstances to management promptly.
- Maintain a clean van, both interior and exterior.
- Submit and initial receipts for all gas purchases.
- Maintain a log for EZ Pass utilization.
- Immediately report all driver infractions, on or off the job.
- Lead by example, delegate, communicate, train, follow up, and deliver feedback to team employees.
Requirements
- Valid current Driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 18 months driving experience.
- Knowledge of driving vehicles in NYC.
- Ability to operate vehicles with multiple passengers of all ages.
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify and solve problems.
- Ability to use independent judgment and decision making.
- Ability to sit and stand for long periods.
- Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20lbs.
- Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative work relationships.
