About the Role
We are recruiting for Class 2 drivers to join our Transport Team at our Booker Retail Partner site. In this position, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of stock to our independent retailers stores. This role involves handball and manual work, which can be physically demanding, including working outside in adverse weather conditions and handballing product at some delivery points. Overtime opportunities are available, and fully funded CPC training hours are provided.
Responsibilities
- Deliver stock to independent retailers stores.
- Operate air-conditioned vehicles.
- Deliver caged goods to retailers' stores.
- Transport backhauls to the depot upon return.
- Move cages and lift goods.
Requirements
- Class 2 Licence Holder
- Driver CPC Holder
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service
- Experience of multi-drop deliveries preferred.
- Experience of temperature-controlled food deliveries preferred.
- Available to work 48 hours a week.
- Flexible in work and hours of work, including at short notice.
- Must be over 18 years of age.
