About the Role
You will work alongside small, profitable engineering teams at companies Beacon acquires, bringing agentic development, influencing key decisions, and improving their speed and efficiency. You will manage two to three companies concurrently, embedding within their codebase and collaborating directly with their engineers.
Responsibilities
- Show a team how to ship a feature in days instead of weeks, and stay until they can do it without you.
- Work a production incident with the team, find the root cause, and fix the underlying issue.
- Review the design for upcoming work before coding begins.
- Interview candidates for companies lacking a formal hiring process.
- Identify and automate manual processes that consume significant time.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience across multiple technology stacks.
- Demonstrated judgment that does not require committee approval.
- Ability to identify critical roadmap items and prioritize effectively.
- Proactive in identifying and initiating work without a predefined backlog.
- Comfortable with context switching, potentially working with 3+ companies weekly.
- Ability to earn trust through collaboration and support.
- Proficiency in daily use of AI coding tools and ability to train others on them.
