About the Role
As a Seasonal Cashier/Sales Associate, you will deliver a premium shopping experience by expertly handling sales transactions and customer service inquiries. You will engage customers to drive sales, ensure merchandise presentation, and participate in store maintenance and loss prevention. This is a temporary role ending at the conclusion of the 2026 Holiday Season.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and provide assistance.
- Accurately scan items, handle various payment methods, and issue receipts.
- Assist customers with returns and exchanges, adhering to company policies.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and organized checkout area.
- Respond with urgency to price check inquiries and complete sales efficiently.
- Actively enroll guests in the C21 loyalty program.
- Monitor for internal and external theft and alert Loss Prevention.
- Operate the cash register and follow all cash handling procedures.
- Maintain attendance and punctuality.
- Perform general checkout functions.
- Ensure speedy checkouts.
Requirements
- Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Communicate effectively, making customers feel heard, respected, and honored.
- Demonstrate a friendly, helpful demeanor to assist guests.
- Complete tasks carefully and thoroughly to avoid errors.
- Previous sales or retail experience is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
