About the Role

As a Senior Product Designer at Xelix, you will be at the center of complex challenges within finance and AI, working on problems that require innovative solutions. You will collaborate closely with a Product Manager and Tech Lead, shaping strategy and execution rather than simply following a brief. The role encourages experimentation with AI in your design process.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end process for high-complexity, high-ambiguity work involving B2B data.
Frame problems independently when no clear brief is provided.
Collaborate with Product Manager and Tech Lead on roadmap and product strategy.
Identify potential gaps and risks in product development.
Provide constructive feedback on scope and approach.
Integrate AI into the design process, including prototyping and workflow.
Plan and conduct usability testing and translate findings into actionable direction.
Maintain high standards for usability, accessibility, and consistency.
Own and scale parts of the design system as the product grows.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in product design.
Portfolio showcasing complex, high-quality B2B work shipped end-to-end.
Proven ability to independently take ambiguous problems to shipped solutions.
Experience planning and leading research and usability testing.
Comfortable using AI-assisted design and development tools in daily workflow.
Deep proficiency in Figma.
Systems-level thinking regarding components and scalability.
Strong understanding of accessibility (WCAG), responsive design, and design systems architecture.
Solid understanding of HTML/CSS/JS and their impact on code.
Comfort with ambiguity and ability to bring structure to unstructured situations.
Excellent communication skills.
Sound judgment on when to escalate issues versus making decisions.
Understanding of finance or accounting basics (preferred).
Experience in fast-moving environments (scale-up, start-up) (preferred).
Experience mentoring designers or contributing to team process (preferred).
