About the Role
We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our growing Data Engineering team in London. In this role, you will build and manage the pipelines for QiCore, our new data warehouse, integrating acquired businesses and ensuring reliable, governed, and scalable data.
Responsibilities
- Build, test, and maintain batch and streaming pipelines into QiCore according to engineering standards.
- Migrate Rewards data into our warehouse and single customer view, ensuring continuous reporting.
- Model data for analytics and reporting, adhering to team-set architecture and governance principles.
- Monitor pipeline health and data quality, addressing root causes of issues.
- Support future acquisitions and platform migrations, optimizing for speed and repeatability.
Requirements
- Several years of hands-on data engineering experience.
- Proficiency in writing production SQL and Python.
- Experience building ETL or ELT pipelines on a modern cloud warehouse or big data platform.
- Working knowledge of data governance, testing, and data quality practices.
- Comfortable with orchestration and version control.
- Experience with code reviews.
- High standards for quality.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Team player.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills.
