About the Role
Performs preventative and specialized maintenance of facility and equipment within an automated laundry, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies. Collaborates with plant personnel to improve equipment performance for safe and cost-effective operation, including wastewater systems and power plant equipment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the General Manager, Production Management team, and other key operational partners to support facility operations.
- Use a computerized Preventive Maintenance (PM) program daily to document repairs, complete maintenance activities, and respond promptly to equipment failures.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment with an emphasis on automation and control systems.
- Maintain compliance with operational, safety, and environmental requirements by completing safety training, recording and retaining required documentation, supporting wastewater compliance, and maintaining computerized maintenance records.
- Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment and infrastructure to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
Requirements
- High school or equivalent.
- Additional training in plumbing, electrical, steam, controls, PLC, welding, and mechanical systems preferred.
- 2+ years industrial maintenance experience.
- Proficiency in electric schematics, low voltage troubleshooting, controls, steam/boiler operation, hydraulics, pneumatics, safety compliance (e.g. LOTO, hot work, confined space), and wastewater treatment.
- Boiler operator license (some states) preferred.
- Wastewater certification (some states) preferred.
- Experience with computerized preventative maintenance systems.
- Valid driver's license and a driving record free of chargeable accidents, speeding or other safety violations.
- Ability to work in industrial laundry facility, both indoors and outdoors.
- Ability to work in environments with exposure to large machinery, moving equipment, noise, heat, humidity, lint, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Willingness to use respirators, operate industrial equipment, and enter confined spaces following safety procedures.
- Ability to perform occasional local travel for parts procurement or training.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background and safety sensitive drug screening.
