About the Role
This role is responsible for various food service and sanitation duties within the Food & Nutrition department, ensuring excellent patient service and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Food preparation, stocking, assembling meals, and delivery/retrieval of trays.
- Performing sanitation and cleaning duties, including pot and dish cleaning.
- Providing cafeteria and catering services.
- Adhering to WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors.
- Reporting to work on time and in proper uniform.
- Demonstrating understanding of assigned position responsibilities and department policies.
- Attending required meetings and completing annual competency/educational requirements.
- Assembling trays according to patient menus and retrieving trays from patient rooms.
- Following Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HAACP) guidelines and infection control policies.
- Communicating with nursing departments, clinical dietitians, and other personnel.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Excellent Customer Service Skills (High proficiency).
- Excellent Communication Skills (written/verbal) (High proficiency).
- Ability to multi-task (Medium proficiency).
